TextEditor is a browser-based notepad and text-tool suite. This policy explains how your data is handled.

What We Collect

Nothing. TextEditor does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers.

• No accounts or logins.
• No cookies used for tracking.
• No analytics scripts are currently loaded.
• No text you type is ever sent to a server.

Local Storage

Your notes and preferences (theme, font size, etc.) are saved to your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device. It is stored under the keys te_note, te_prefs, and te_theme.

If you clear your browser data, switch browsers, or use private/incognito mode, your saved notes will be lost. Use the Download button to keep a permanent copy.

No Cloud Sync

TextEditor has no cloud storage, no server-side database, and no synchronization service. Everything stays local to the browser tab you are using.

Third-Party Services

We may add a minimal analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) in the future. If we do, this policy will be updated accordingly. As of now, no third-party scripts are loaded.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this URL. No advance notice is required since no personal data is collected.
